Intercol has some new raw materials available in addition to starches and protein-based adhesives. These synthetic adhesives are of biological origin and have been found to be biodegradable in end products by customers (with a percentage of approx. 20% glue in the end product). These water-based adhesives usually have a solid content of about 50%-60% and can adhere to various materials, such as plastic laminates in the packaging industry, it is important that the water can evaporate through e.g. the second substrate, such as cardboard, textile or other porous material.
