Dispersion glues are often known as wood glue or craft glue, but these glues are widely used on all kinds of materials that allow the moisture to evaporate. Textiles, paper, wood and also plastics such as PET/ABS and PE can be glued with dispersion adhesives. With plastics it is important that the water can evaporate and this usually involves full-surface bonding with a second moisture-permeable substrate.

Dispersion adhesives are basically available as homopolymer (PVAC) and copolymer (EVOH). Dispersion adhesives can be widely adapted with additives, such as adhesion promoters and thickeners.
