History of Intercol

Intercol BV was founded in 1972 by Hermann Barentz, as part of the Barentz Group.

As the Barentz Group developed into a specialist for the supply of raw materials in the life science sectors such as food, pet food, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics and then concentrated on its core activities, Steven de Jong, who was General Manager of Intercol since 1990, took over. the company in 2013.

Intercol BV has grown organically over the past 49 years into a strong, reliable partner for industrial adhesive applications. Started in the 1970s with 200m² of production space, today 6000m² is available for development, production and logistics. Recently, around the turn of the year 2021, the new warehouse for finished products with an additional storage capacity of 1000 tons was put into use.

The growth is reflected in the development of turnover: in the past 20 years the number has doubled. 45 employees, concentrated in R&D application technology/sales and production, currently generate 20 million euros per year.
